We just wanted to say thank you to everyone who contributed to such a wonderful and thoughtful discussion during our session. I am the land, and the land is me.
    Best wishes,
    The RILA team!

This was such an inspiring session. Thanks to the panellists for sharing your ideas and wonderful work. I am hearing Pika’s ‘I am the land and the land is me’ mentioned in several other sessions, and also in the indigenous thread in this live open mic forum.

Hi Sarah, I am glad you enjoyed the session. Might you be able to share a bit more about Pika’s ‘I am the land and the land is me’ for those not familiar?

Piki Diamond of Auckland University of Technology asks and answers:
Who are you – as a living landed cultural being? What has been left behind and how is it restored? She says: Hopefully, in the future, people will see physical, emotional and spiritual elements and expressions of the land within themselves. Kō āu te whenua, kō te whenua kō āu. I am the land, and the land is me.
